Meet The Team:

 

Jane Kuelbs, ­ Interior Designer, Principal

 

Jane's primary responsibilities are conceptual design development and client contact. She has particular expertise in both interior and architectural color and materials palettes, and design of custom furnishings. Jane's creative solutions respond to each client's requirements, budget and schedule, making them unique responses.

 

Jane has been a working professional designer for over 20 years. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Interior Design. She completed course work and gained IACC accreditation as a professional color consultant.

 

Her tenure in Chicago has included work experience with most of the major architectural firms. While concentrating primarily on commercial interiors projects, Jane has been fortunate over the years to work on several luxury residences throughout the country. In addition to conceptual design development and color and materials palettes, her responsibilities include furniture and furnishings development, procurement of antiques, antique lighting and fine art, and custom area rug design. Jane works with the client to create an intuitive concept for each project, while being sensitive to their personal taste.

 

An award-winning designer, Jane is an excellent problem-solver and planner, and her work with color and materials is directly tied to the success of each project. She has a personal interest in combining creative ideas with the solid experience of functional design.  Jane is currently Director of Interiors for one of the large Architecture firms in Chicago.

Bruce Rogers, ­AIA, Architect, Lighting Designer, Principal

 

Bruce's responsibilities center around interior architectural design, the production of programmatic data, and design materials and technical drawings required for client communication, and contract documents for construction or fabrication.

 

Bruce received his Bachelor's degree in Theatre Design and Technology from the University of Kansas, where he also did graduate work in Theatre Design. He received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas, Austin, and is registered in the state of Illinois and the District of Columbia.

 

He is a seasoned design professional, an excellent communicator and a skillful, detail-oriented technical designer. He is an experienced project architect working in design and construction of commercial and residential interiors with particular emphasis in technical design and construction coordination and in contract administration. He has designed and detailed hundreds of thousands of square feet of commercial office space, where he developed specialties in millwork and construction detailing as well as lighting design. He has designed and detailed a wide range of residential projects in a variety of building types.

 

Bruce served as the Quality Control manager for construction of the new U. S. Consulate compound in Guayaquil, Ecuador, as a consultant on a new conference facility in Libreville, Gabon (west Africa), and as International Project Engineer for construction of the new U.S. Embassy compound in Nouakchott, Mauritania (west Africa). Bruce is currently the Senior International Project Engineer for a major renovation of the historic U.S. Embassy in Athens, Greece .
